June was a lovely lady. She and George were friendly and gentle and hospitable and a loving couple, and also fun to be with. We enjoyed a common interest in live music with June and I was treated twice to live shows with her. Once to see Martin Joseph, one of her favourite performers. We sat on the front row and he came over before the show and had a lovely chat with her and clearly knew her quite well. The other time to the Stables to see a great Jazz group. I believe she was quite pally with Cleo Lane and Johnny Dankworth, but they weren't at that show unfortunately.

We knew June and George through St Barnabas Church, London.
